July 2014. My Semester B Kaawai  Raupapa course for Te Wananga o Aotearoa in 2013 was at Parapara Marae. The students designed and painted the Tahuhu for the Whare Tupuna Te Manawa o Ngati Tara. The Tahuhu depicts the connection of the people, hapu to the water. It depicts water fron Ranginui to the awa and sea, Te Aurere. It was an amazing wananga, huge amount of work for 5 weekend noho. July 2014. I have just finshed teaching a Kaawai Raupapa course for Te Wananga o Aotearoa. It was 18 weeks, comprising 5 weekend noho. 24 students successfully completed the course stage one of a mural that has been entered in to a Resene National Mural competition. Awesome students.
